Hello People!
It's Darwin12.
Sorry: I promised posts... never got to them.
So i'll just go over what is important.

Right now, i'm changing my old Vanilla server over to Bukkit and i'm intending to throw a new series of ideas up on this server.
Among them is:
Banks
Cash
Selling and Buying Ores
Buying and Selling Land



UPDATE: There is now a post up on the DCMCServer blog that talks about how to send an application to join the server's team/whitelist.

So much fun!

RoAir OakWood International 1.4 Beta Update!

"Today was a MASSIVE update to OakWood, placing it in the 1.4-Beta stage.
Here is a list of changes:
--[Roads Expanded and now have "two-way traffic capabilities"
--[Expansion to the OakWood Terminal has began, a new gate has been added.
--[A little terrain was cleared to make room for Roadways.
--[RoBus and RoAir Merchandise Decals are now placed throughout the airport.

A Very Long Catchup: #15

Hello Everyone.
Welcome to my breaking of "inactivity".
Not dawn. ._.
Besides that, I have very much to talk about, but i'm going to try and keep it short and simple.
Lets get to it..:

RoWar: Reboot:
You may know, if you know myself well on Minecraft, ROBLOX, all over the "internetz" that I have ALWAYS loved Are92, AreLam... and recently: BlabVoid.
Because my application to work on RoWar: Reboot was approved about a month ago.
Although I wasn't really talking about it much, I decided to post about it today because it felt nice to do.
Anyway: soon, I will begin uploading lengthy archives of stuff we do at StudioARE during RoWar: Reboot production, and more.
When? I'm not sure at all... lol.

The New DarCity:
Many of you, here from the "Origins" of this blog, back in '11 when I felt like posting about what I was doing all over the internet, will know that at the time, I had began playing Minecraft.
I had began vaguely POSTING about Minecraft, and that's that.
I was working on a private Minecraft server called DarCity, which as amazing as it was is being redone in a village form.
I may or may not have some pictures, but Adventures in Minecraftia is going to get it's long awaited continuing in an upcoming part.
Above Features what was made out of the village about a week ago from this post.
So yeah, about a week ago I took that picture.
Strange, it looks higher quality..
here's why..

I got a desktop :)
My old computer is still really awesome, but this one moves faster and better...
I've got a nice picture for you guys below:

A nice 25" monitor...
A nice unit indeed, it starts my Minecraft and ROBLOX instantly.

Season 2 beginning dates Announced for Darwin12Videos!:
So yeah.
I've been posting videos for about 7 months now..
Cleared some dust off.
Done some stuff.
But mostly fixed some minor problems and gotten things fixed.
But Season 2 of Darwin12Videos will not be just short films, but the beginning of the long awaited "Trapped in the Darkness" LiveAction Reboot version with a different plot of those created by Johanskruger himself, who is beginning MC Videos.

Season Two will be featuring LiveAction, and quite a lot of it, as I start to separate from one strict category of gaming, my movies will start involving more professionalism and less randomness that was demonstrated in "Meet Jacobthescientist" and stuff.

Season Two begins January 1st, 2013 [lulz, I wonder why ._.].
Until then: you can expect a lot more in-between.

Minecraft Tekkit Series!:
So, this past week me and Flyingninjacake sat down and started talking about a potential Tekkit series on my YT that would be filmed by him and including myself and other people/players.
The project has begun, so you can look forward to such a thing occurring in Season One, and I would like to inform you that filming will actually begin around tomorrow into later this week.
So look forward to that, because that isn't the only thing we've got.

TheDFHome: The Home of the Future [Part 3]

Welcome back, part three is today. So lets get right to it!

Yesterday, we released Part 2, which spoke of interior and exterior design, color schemes and more.

Now that we have a clear understanding of design: we're talking about the technology that will make this "Home of the Future" what it really is.
In several categories below, we will be featuring multiple technologies that will/should be used in TheDFHome.
This is Part Three.

Lighting System:
In TheDFHome, day or night, rain or shine, the lighting is essential to the creation of the home.
So, what dynamic Lighting System will there be in TheDFHome? Easy: open/close capable windows, shades, home powered lights and more will be what lights up TheDFHome.

Working TVs:
Televisions in ROBLOX? We've heard of it, but TheDFHome will feature something different, a capable, changing Working TV, hooked up to the "DarNet Operating System".

DarNet Social Connection:
The popular new "DarNet Social ALPHA" Project, would be Incorporated in the project, allowing a user to sit down at a seat, and look at their dashboard for the home, the temperature in the home, the weather, what events were occurring: everything would be controlled. [See: Dashboard]. However, sitting down at your dashboard would allow you to connect to the DarNet Social ALPHA connections, allowing you to visit the online social site and see updated feeds, pictures and more.

DashBoard(s):
TheDFHome's largest capable would be a minor/major expanding GUI that would allow you [when sitting in certain areas in the house] to control the lighting, temperature inside and outside, DarNet Social Connection, weather, and events occurring. What is on your agenda, your "cash" balance [in-game currency] and more. All from one small GUI, that would do everything.

So, lets say you are in your living room: wanna turn up the temperature in the kitchen? Or, in the Kitchen and Living Room? Or just all over the house? You can do that.
Wanna turn the lights off in the Office, or in a certain bedroom? No problem, hit a button in the Room Config on the GUI, and it's off. Or say you wanna put some shades down so it's not as bright in the dining room? Done.
All from one, small, expanding GUI.


Patio Stuff:Inside, it's nice and cold, but in the summer: it may be warm, in the winter: cold. The patio that will be on TheDFHome will have more capabilities than most patios, it will allow you to take the top off of the patio, and look straight up at the sun, or at the stars, or, tint it to a transparency to see, but not be completely visible.


Cars, Transportation and More: Cars, Transportation: Everything will be easily linked and connected to those of TheDFHome. How? Well: that's still being planned. xD

TheDFHome: The Home of the Future [Part 2]

I promised this post quite a while back, and as promised: here it is.

TheDFHome was the name given to an upcoming home-based project within ROBLOX and Minecraft [both with different versions]. But mostly: known for it's ROBLOX Version.

TheDFHome is a goal that Darwin12 has given himself, and the developers at Dar-Games to create in a personal build server, the goal to build a home of the future, for himself, his friends, and guests.

This "Home of the Future" as Darwin defines it would consist of lighting systems, multiple-room setups, chrome and white/grey design schemes and his personal favorite: glass.

Combined, an astounding interior and exterior design would be established... however, what about the interior's look?

Imagine this: a Grey and Glass door. You walk into a beautiful foyer, with glass stairways, white walls, and grey outlines around doors, you can go three ways to multiple rooms.
The multiple rooms would be bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and more


TheDFHome would be two floors, having offices upstairs, bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, a foyer, living room, and kitchen with a "levels" known within other projects by Darwin12.
This project, while not being started yet: would be a home, of the future.


Now that we have the interior, exterior, details, everything like that, the only thing left is: what else makes it a "Home of the Future"?


Part Three will feature details about what makes the house so much more different, complex and amazing, than any other house, ever built on ROBLOX.

DarNet Social Network on ROBLOX Announced!

Quite interesting eh?
So a new small announcement released that the old "DarNet" Social ROBLOX-based network will be -in-fact- continued!
The new Social Network would start small, and grow slowly, remain exclusive, and post status updates, pictures, and more to unique pages.
Of course: memberships would probably be placed intact to keep a small limit on the amount of members on DarNet, and exclusive members, such as popular users would be invited to join for free, and be "verified".
The new DarNet Social Network would be opened to all, but opened to be EDITED and new data very little...

The idea is progressing, and is far from finished, but the future for this project looks bright.

ROBLOX Caverns 1.5 Update!

Today, for the first time in months, I promised an update to ROBLOX Caverns, and today, I follow through releasing the 1.5 release update for ROBLOX Caverns!

The new 1.5 Update has the following:

  • Insanely Large Updates to the DarNet Technologies Info System [Upgraded to v.1.1]
  • +Details on the Credits.
  • A few more blocks added to the top of the caverns, where needed.
  • Various Patches and Bug Fixes
Yah..
That's really about it, the 1.6 update is expected soon.
However: the real deal is the upcoming DarNet system itself to be made into a "Social Media" release...
Which we're going to cover that, along with more Detail of "TheDFHome" over the course of the next few days!

RoAir OakWood International Release Moved Back!

So... that's a big announcement?
lol. Clearly.
Today, my post regards RoAir, and within RoAir, specifically OakWood International.
The popular Airport, which just ventured into it's first thousandth view, received a new anti-hack, update to the anti-lag and more.
But, with these updates, came bad news.
RoAir confirmed that OakWood International's release would be moved back to expand the airport to a more massive size, a larger land area, and especially: more gates.

Darwin12 said it would leave more space for expansion, more airlines, and everything else you could ever imagine.

So, people asked, when is the new revised release date?
None other than August 13th, 2012.

More updates about OakWood are expected soon.

DarCity's Private Server Version may be Public to you Soon!

What a shocker!
1.3 has a new update called "Adventure Mode" that myself and _Captevyo_ are looking into as a potential way to allow people to publicly enter our vanilla server, but limit them to what they can, and can't do.
This could allow our whitelist to be closed, and allow members everywhere to connect to our small 5 person server to look around at what we're making, and what we're doing.
More updates soon.
I updated the private server version to 12w26a.

Yrreb International Airport and Galby 2.0 Updates!

Hey guys!

Today, it's going to be all Yrreb International and all Galby [but I will talk a little about OakWood ._.]
Lets get to it.

Okay.
So... um.

OakWood International Nearing Full Release Date:
OakWood International isn't quite done yet, not quite perfect, but it already is cleared for it's release date.
On 6/23/12 [dat's today if you're reading that now], Darwin12 moved "OakWood International Airport" to his front page of profile to not hide anymore, and it clearly states that the release of OakWood International will be July the 20th of 2012.
This exciting news hasn't been noticed yet, but it will be soon.
OakWood's update process was abnormal since it was a 'make it and finish it' type of game that [when completed] will become a total hub for all quality and reasonable airlines.
That's it for this week's pop on OakWood. Moving on.

Galby 2.0 Update:
Galby 2.0 is more than 2 weeks into production, and today, production has stopped temporarily to take a break. The new updated Galby 2.0 offices were expected this July, but are now going to shoot for a later release date in August or later.
Galby 2.0's entrance is completed, a presentation room is in the works and a second floor is under production right now.

Yrreb International Airport:
Today, we're beginning our first blog post about our new project, a mega-airport we are going to call, Yrreb International Airport.
The new addition to the RoAir Airport Family will be open to MULTIPLE airlines and will [hopefully] be our most in-depth airport out there, today, Dar-Games began to look for Developers for the new Airport that is expected to release in November 2012.
No more details have been announced at this time...

Weekly Catchup 15 : OakWood Completion, Yrreb International and More.

From the looks of it, today will be all RoAir guys. So welcome, sit down and have a soda.

OakWood Completion:
OakWood International is officially only one small update to the runways and taxiways from a total completion to the ability to work the airport functionally, the final updates will consist of a flight lounge, decals and chairs + more.
OakWood's completion will be expected around the end of the summer-time period.

Today, we're talking majorly about our airport, devoted in the name of our previous owner, Yrreb.

Yrreb International Announcement:
Yrreb was an excellent leader, which is why we're going to be making an airport after his name.
Yrreb International will be our largest, most amazing airport ever. Featuring check-in areas at our airport, a grand statue of yrreb himself, and amazing detail.

Our terminal will be one of the largest out there, just like the grand creation of RoAir that was incepted by Yrreb, Coxyoo and myself to make the group the best airline.

We're fulfilling that promise to make an airport so grand, that it's massive.

The new Yrreb International Airport will consist of two terminals/concourses, both of them in different patterns and work. Continental and International planes.

No more details yet.
It's a surpriseeeee. :D

Galby 2.0 : Update 1

What's up guys, Darwin12 here today [sorry for the inactivity in the last four days], today I will be covering the details behind the beloved new project from Dar-Games, Galby 2.0.

The secretly closed project announced on 6/18/12 as a spoiler on here, is under production, as it has been for the last fourteen days.


As of Day 14 [today]. The front of he office has been established and it now resembles those of the original Galby 2.0, however no roof being put on at this point gives hints of a second floor addition.
The interior will be a blue floor, and a grey wall setup, with white glass and some red flooring and wall additions.
At this point, the entrance consists of three doors, one goes toward the left, and the other two go forward from the entrance and into two unique meeting rooms.

Plus stairs with glass that overlook the meeting rooms and the entrance that will go into other areas.

Galby Office 2.0 Announcement!

In Early 2012, Yrreb's place "Galby Offices" was taken down after an attack of exploits.

In July 2012, we will bring back the old offices with a new name, similar design, but completely different interior, new offices, good vibe, and new looks in our new "Galby" 2.0.

 Galby Office 2.0 will actually include various similar designs, such as the well known entrance, and such.
But major differences will make this office building two floors, with stunning views of the outlooking areas, and demonstrations of a fancy gallery of pictures.

In the NEW Galby, we will feature two meeting rooms, The Yrreb Room and the Darwin Room.
Both will be put in for use by our group and ambassador stuff.
 A room for SkyBloxia *cancelled because of separation* will be included [most likely].

Also it will include offices for every single Executive of the RoAir team, Darwin12, Joshuaw97, Steelwolf651, everyone.
These would be centers to talk about RoAir type stuff.
There would also be stuff included around teleporting to various airports that RoAir owns. Considering there would also be an excellent announcement area and promotion center.

R.S.A H2 (v3) Offices : Day 2

Continuing on what I have done (on Day 1)
It was all planning.
Today is Blueprinting.
I am going to reveal my designs today for all three floors.
First Floor.

Second Floor.
 Okay.
So basically: the first floor consists of the entrance, stairs, Community Manager Desks, a Room Full of R.S.A Pictures [possibly a hall] and some other stuff.
The Green stuff represents grass, and the grey represents the roads.
Excuse my artistic abilities, i'm not he best artist, but you get a taste of the design.
The design is different on
every floor, so I can't promise these designs to be EXACT.
The First Floor is the largest in sq. blocks.
The Second floor is a little smaller, then the top floor is the smallest one.
It's more of a "levels" design.
Third Floor.

The First Floor has ALL of the Community Manager Desks, I'll put  6 in there, but there (at this time) is only two CMs...
So i'll keep some open.
The Stairs will take you up to the second floor.
I made some edits that aren't on here at this point, but there will be a hallway that will go between the Flight Directors Offices (I will have three for the only three FDs) and the BoD Offices (the rest of them).
Maybe a lounge if there is open space.
Third Floor will have my office, and someone or a NPC such as "Helper" will check appointments and stuff.
That's about it.
Tomorrow, I show off the 3D Design... the first draft at least.

R.S.A H2 (v3) Offices Work : Day 1

So I wanted to log this...
But i'm working on some blueprinting for the R.S.A H2 (v3) Offices (or just R.S.A H3)
Besides that: Today is all devoted to Blueprinting, and i'll show off what I came up with tomorrow.
Just announcing that.
But today is all about consistent planning.
Here is my schedule for the Offices in 1.4/1.5:

Day 1: Planning *today ;D*
Day 2: Blueprinting *tomorrow :D*
Day 3: 3D Design (in ROBLOX Studio)
Day 4: Add to R.S.A H2.
Day 5: Play around with it.
Day 6: Assign Desks.
Day 7: Completed (hopefully)

I'll try to stick to that!

The Weekly Catchup: Week 12 - 14

Wow, it's been some time since i've last done this.
Instead of every week, I may downgrade it to when largely-important events happen.
Anyway.
Lets get to it.

RoAir News... good, but bad:
RoAir is clearly ROBLOX's #1 Airline group, but today, on 6/6/12.

RoAir's Logo :D
R.S.A. H2 (v3) -(INDEV 1.3)-A statement from the owner, Yrreb said he would be resigning. As a result, Yrreb gave Darwin12 the group to run and continue keeping the 4k group afloat. In progress at the time, high-ranks we're exiling RoAir members, and in an estimate, 900 members later, Darwin12 became the owner and modified settings destroying the ability to demote/promote users.

New High-Ranks we're selected as a result and now Darwin12 has recovered a good portion of the members that we're exiled, and (even though) has lost 1k members, and now has only 3.1k members, but RoAir is going to recover as part of numerous plans, including the numerous airports RoAir has to offer, and Darwin12 states that this is, "Just the beginning of the new beginning for RoAir."

More news in the future on RoAir :D

R.S.A H2 (v3) 1.4 Update!:
We talked a bit yesterday, regarding the R.S.A H2 update that would compliment the long-awaited new regions on the map. 1.4 inDev is the stepping stone for R.S.A H2's future updates all the way up to beta.
The new 1.4 ChangeLog at this point consists mainly of primary "preparatory" updates to lead up to the biggest R.S.A H2 update ever. The "expansion" of R.S.A H2 to become an official launch area for the upcoming "Ventura" rocket suite that is now not only being developed by Darwin12, but is now having a little work by joshuaw97.

1.4 Consists of Updates Like:

  • New Industrial Add-On
  • New Building in Production will actually be one of the operational office-buildings.
  • New Building will be an area for RoAir Members.
Also: RoAir's new HQ is already under structural production by Darwin12, it may be part of R.S.A H2 in the end, but at this point, it will be located right below R.S.A H2 upon it's first update's completion.
We expect some cool stuff in 1.5.
I'll give you a sneak-preview (in words) lets just say...
I LIKE PLANES.

Lets Talk Ventura:
Nothing big actually...
lol
But Ventura is my rocket project... I mentioned it a little.
It's pretty much done with exterior design. Piloting Room will be by Joshuaw97.
So yeah.
Nothing bigger than that.

OverLooking the new Updates to R.S.A H2!

Okay. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile = a result of SUMMER FEEEVARRRR.
LOL.
Just Kidding.
Anyway, in result to new stuff recently occurring, the R.S.A H2 Snapshot is kinda already released, the 1.3.6 release (due out tonight) is supposed to include new roadways, the beginning of a new building and so far: all of that has come to place. But our 1.4 update will not be ready without a prerelease to patch bugs and fix and add things after the 1.3.9 release, which is due out sooner than expected.
So far: 1.3 through 1.3.6 has been developed mostly by Darwin12, but 1wardude has also made a contribution.

Darwin12 confirms an Airport in 1.4 (prerelease 2) at the latest, which will (hopefully) in his opinion "up the training for R.S.A Students and make it fun."

A New Launch Site out of R.S.A H2's other side (river coming soon) will become a new region where Rockets will be launched, starting after the projected 1.6 Update that is due out in August.

100th Post... Wow.

Wow.
So we have 100 posts.
2800-ish Page-Views Total; and we're still going.
I know I hit the rough in blog posts last month. [and quite a bit this month]
But it's summer for me now, so as a result. That means more posts. And I will begin doing snapshots for games, projects and more.
Especially all that stuff.

Expect Updates Regarding:
DCMCServer [inDev; Week 12-4]
R.S.A H2 [Hiatus; Week 12-16]
and more.

Now also. Since i'm Here. I might as well settle some recent questions.
Lots of people have noticed I haven't posted MANY ROBLOX Games in quite sometime.
Yes. It's true, but am I working on anything...
Yes. Just not on ROBLOX.
I'm not announcing that i'm leaving: i'm just saying I need a break.
Summer is a great time for me to continue working on DCMCServer Especially. But in terms for ROBLOX, I really have no plans for huge projects.
By which I mean to say that i'm planning a huge inactivity point between here - and there -.
Not as lengthy, it's just that point has began, it isn't that I don't log on, it's that i'm busy working on projects: making movies, making music, doing everything.

Quite an irk some times.
[btw: new tag for Snapshot]

I'm working on some pretty insane tracks for "Trapped in the Darkness" some of my first regarding an involvement of possible lyrical parts.
Meaning: NO MORE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC ENTIRELY :D
That means, I'll probably need vocalists, but i'll work on that later.

Just a bit of a hint and details on Darwin12Video projects [publication coming soon].
But i'm sure i've made it clear what projects i've been working on, what i'm editing and especially my huge hiatus on "The Space Cruiser" which has moved it all the way to January 1st, 2013 or later.
Unfortunate...
But "Trapped in the Darkness" will release this summer, hopefully in between July 14th -- August 12th.
If it isn't released in-between those two points, you can expect an even longer wait.... [sorry :0]
LOL.
So that's my 100th post.
It's got a lot of stuff in it if you ask me.

It's the equivalent to a Weekly Catchup: which is why I tagged it under "The Weekly Catchup" as well.
I'm also considering moving this blog to another client other than blogger: but for now i'm good.

TheDFHome. The Home of the Future. [Part 1]

This is the beginning of a new Series introducing you to the new project known as PROJECT:TDFH. Or as you know it as: TheDFHome.
For those of you who haven't gotten caught up on abbreviations within abbreviations.

So that should recap you and help you A TON.
LOL.
TheDFHome is literally a project that I envisioned for the real world, but with nowhere better to model it than on ROBLOX, and the cost being: well. Absolutely free and so I don't go spend 3 million dollars on technologies I don't believe are even technically capable in a 2012-staged-world I guess this was better to go with.
Besides that. Enough about reality. What is TheDFHome?
Well, you understand it's a futuristic based home.
This is turning into my mansion technically, so a great reason to build it: To show off my building skills.
Another reason: Great Roleplay place.
Another, another reason: I would have a mansion to live in that (well) I made.
ANOTHER REASON WITHIN A REASON WITHIN A REASON: It would be FUN.
This is likely to be my most advanced project of ALL time on ROBLOX.
When I set out to create this, i'm serious when I mean this may be the project that has a hint of reality in it, has no exact story, but a great envision-ment.
It wouldn't be the the equivalent to the project by me and Jacobthescientist you know as "The Darwin Inn" but it would rather be more of a self created "beach mansion" that I could technically live in, control and stay at a good portion of my time on ROBLOX to relax, have meetings, talk with people.
It's basically going to be the main HQ for everything me.
When shall the project begin?
Now.
[Part 2 will be featured tomorrow. Giving "blueprint and design" details for the project.]

Weekly Catchup: Week(s) 6 - 10

So I just realized I missed like... 5 weeks of Weekly Catchups (I totally knew that).
You may notice this is IN Fact a combo.
But Surprisingly I have not much to cover in these weeks that have come and gone.
Which is good.
Which means all I have to say is that i'm no longer "majorly" inactive.
I will be back to MEGA Blogging over the summer though...
(Which begins the 23rd, then i'm off to Summer work for 3 months. Which will allow me to do some pretty EPIC Stuff.)
But I just want to start by talking about something I didn't talk about before. Which was my new project to make a modern home in Minecraft and in ROBLOX.
Which is going to turn into a major project known as "Darwin's Futuristic Home".
lol. Or TheDFHome in Tags. That's what it serves as.
I already have composed a post that will automatically post tomorrow at little early in the morning, so... yeah. that will talk MAJORLY about TheDFHome.

Factions Exploration: Part 1

Just recently, we switched on the magical plugin by some people working for Bukkit. Immediately, we slammed on our keyboards to furiously create our Factions.
Captevyo made his faction: Dark.
Mine, was TeamDarwin.
Masonridge (flyingninjacake) made his faction TheBeast...
The Faction system is made for exploration purposes.
I'm sure most of you will be interested in making your own, but unfortunately... we cannot allow the creation of user-clans.

DCMCServer Production Began

We have decided to make a release of several pictures as of Day 1 in the creation of the game.

The Weekly Catchup: Week 5

Hello.
Welcome my Friends to the Weekly Catchup: Week 5.
This time, I'll be covering site news, Trapped in the Darkness, and the upcoming project titled "Herobrine" as well as new information on the Book Series for "Trapped in the Darkness".

Trapped in the Darkness: Production:
Current levels of production are high for Darwin12Videos, as a result of over 9 different projects going on ranging between short-films, to Series and so on. From times of 20 seconds to up to 9 minutes at a time.
The Trapped in the Darkness Project Production is a new test for our editors however as a result of numerous advancements in our abilities to work with other production companies.
One of the many and most recognizable productionthat we have worked/are working with are Johanskruger, not really a production company but he also prefers to go under "JohanFilmz" as well. We haven't verified an official name however.
Another one that we are working on a (not so very long) short film (about 1 minute at most) with WildRiderProductions.
The two projects i'm sure of at this point is Trapped in the Darkness and Herobrine.
But i'm here to talabout Trapped in the Darkness Production.
Production work has began as of today (Actually Tuesday + Wednesday) and yeah...

lol. I think that's it for now?
No, moving on.

Herobrine: Production:Wow, lots of Darwin12Video talk.
So yeah, we began working on the Herobrine set from what i've heard. Captevyo, Darwin12, and some other developers are making a simple town at this point which will be the roll point of the film series.

Trapped in the Darkness: Book Series:
Book 1?
Yes.
When?
August at least.
So here we are again my friends.
Such a pleasure,
anyway.
The long awaited TitD Project is in production, but who says the book series won't be coming out anytime later or beforehand?
The first chapter of the book is going into a slam-process, by Darwin12 (me :D) the only writer who claims "You'll be excited."
But more exciting news in the world of TitD Releases comes in the next paragraph or so.

Trapped in the Darkness: First Poster?
You are probably all aware of my abilities for graphic designs and catchy themes.
A new twist will bring the Trapped in the Darkness Poster to look less like your average poster.
The poster: along with 3 others for Herobrine, The Space Cruiser: Part 1, and (of course) The Meet the Series we began with Jacobthescientist, will be hitting the streets of R.S.A. H2 (v3) soon! To get the three projects popular in advance. The three posters will be up for grabs to be placed in places all over ROBLOXia.
The first poster: already under work is titled (of course) you know it already (the title).
But then our special quote...
"They are coming for you, be ready, prepare, expect them."
The poster releases sometime in the next month or so, so keep your eyes opened.

DarwinMusic is Opened:
So, about three weeks ago. We (executives) meaning me, Captevyo and Cheeseheadfoamy had been siked about the possibility of exclusive music for our projects.
Three weeks ago, we "secretly" opened DarwinMusic with the artists:

We expect great things from it.

Adventures in Minecraftia: Part 2

Adventures in Minecraftia!
Finally, at last, a collaboration of many of photos from our DarCity Minecraft Server.
_Darwin12_ next to his new friend, The Creeper.
This time, we don't really have as much to show you except the new "penthouses" in a new region on our map.

It isn't much of an adventure eh?
No, you have not the slightest idea what we've been through for this moment.
lol.

Getting to it.

As you can see to the right, you can see an assortment of photos that are also labeled.

You can scroll up and down and take a look at it.
But for now, i'll give you a rundown:
So this is Stop5051's penthouse, the entire thing is a chromium iron + glass consistent exterior and interior. The entire thing has numerous redstone "lamps" that are placed on/in the floor and ceiling.

No Wood is included in the structure. Except for the fences.
The "hangover" for the garden is stone and true glowstone.

From a view of sides, you can see some of the things, but from the front of the structure in the garden, you can see down the entrance hall and into some of the structure.

Some of the structure is a patio that overlooks a good portion of the area we are located in.

If you scroll down, you can see the "patio overlook" at Day/Night.
But yeah, that's about it.
For most of it at least.
The overlook consists of a mountain to the right, and a small "mountain valley". Some of it is fogged up in the distance. Kind of some water to the front; that's about it.

Okay, lets talk about the interior now. This is the interior here. There is a little of wood, but it isn't typical wood, it's bookshelves, a TV and some redstone torches, a sofa and a chest in the background and jukebox.
Behind the picture, there are two rooms. Bedrooms to be true on that.
The lighting goes above the house and in the flooring (as demonstrated far to the far left).

Use of NPCs in R.S.A H3: Part 2

So, if you haven't read part 1, read it now by clicking here.
So yes.

We we're talking about Quests and NPC shops last time we set off. Part 2 will probably be the last if not second to last part.

Lets just begin...

3. Informative:
Informative, we've kinda done that.
We added "Helper" a convenient helping and informative character to two positions in our game.
The museum and the main room.
Pretty much, that's it.

4. Quests (continued):
So #2 talked about Quests.
I wanted to go farther in depth with this by putting out that quests could be rewarding, putting characters in interesting situations to go to observatories, go to mission control and collect data, go to the servers, fix something, find something, etc. The possibilities are endless, but the formula finding what that would be would be something of the sort: (just an example, not actual code)

etc. that's just a a formulated example, not actual code.

But, using another formula, lets say you get the wrong path, instead the script formulates two possible endings like...
if_path(1) = success (reward, quest completed)
if_path(2) = failure (no reward, quest marked incomplete)
Another formula there: lots easier to make notes like that.
So per say you're looking for a 200ml can of rootbeer, and you pick up a 100ml can of rootbeer and take it back, they would say that you have to find the 200ml, and if you take it back wrong it would say you basically failed, and that it's "okay". lol (funny).

So there's fun for ya.
What I do on the weekends, you will never know.

Day 11: Skeptical...

So, wow, it's Day 11... so exciting.
So these last few days, i've been considering opening an entirely new blog for personal use...
but that wouldn't be much fun would it?
Maybe, just for logs and stuff.
We're pretty far from our "Trapped in the Darkness" first "public" release.
Or so it seems.
The Space Cruiser has also gotten new details that confirm that it won't release till after August thanks to recent "school work", a lot of "post-production on other 'secret' projects, and the production of: of course, "Trapped in the Darkness".
While, Darwin12Videos says the project isn't cancelled, but on a very high stage of "hiatus" meaning that it is postponed, it is baffling that it has already completed filming.
So that'll be your headliner for Week 5 I imagine (the weekly catchup) i'll start probably abbreviating it TWC or something.
Something...
anyway, i'll see you Day 12 or something like that.

The Weekly Catchup: Week 4

 So Yes.
Welcome to The Weekly Catchup: W4 I guess you can call it.
As you can see, i've put some pictures out to the side.
Some time ago I referenced making a fighting Arena for my Minecraft Server, well that is now completed!
Lets get into it.

Minecraft Stuff:
So, yeah...
pretty generic, I told you about the fighting arena, with three pictures out to the side, taken before "recent refurbs" were made to most of them.
So more good news for that, it really is used for mini-duels. But that's where I talk about my two Darwin12Videos things. Lets begin on that.

Darwin12Videos MC Server:
Beginning April 4th (that's today), I was supposed to begin whitelist requests for my MC server.
Unfortunately, we haven't exactly "locked in" any Dar-Games links between this and this, meaning we still have yet to determine if the server is going to be a real, physical and "good"
idea. Considerably, people seem to like the idea, me and my friend have been considering such a thing for the server to be online by May. If things would change, I'd post, but if things didn't change, you may see it referenced in the Weekly Catchups in the future.
We have called the small project name DCMCServer. Which stands for Darwin12 Co. Minecraft Server.
Once again, we're in a position prior to any "began" construction on the server in particular.

Lets get the next thing.

Darwin12Videos New "MC reality" PROJECT:
So, I did tell you I love the Hunger Games.
I didn't think it would catch the best of me, but soon people will be able to volunteer for a new reality "survival" project we call "The Ender Games".
The project originated from the generic idea of a place, for example our MC Village shown to the right/above. But it actually originated in a "First run" with our "whitelisted" members.
The Ender Games project would include possibly 4 people + Darwin12 (5 open spots on the server), or in our case if the DCMCServer for more spots. But lets say we have 4 people.
The way we did our first run with gogo505 (stop5051 on MC), 1wardude (same on MC), and Captevyo (_Captevyo_ on MC) only included three people, plus me filming. The event began with me spreading mysterious "chests" across the map in random places, in this case, the first run was held in a Forest Biome and there were no "exact" boundaries set at the time so that set the players off to try and find chests with weapons and food inside of them. Mostly, there wasn't very much food, so as part of the aspects of surviving, you had to hunt the food. But Creepers, Zombie Pigmen, Enderman (especially Enderman), Skeletons, and so many more mobs would come out at night and spoil your chances of winning the games.
When the game begins, the 10 minute, day cycle in Minecraft determines a huge thing. If everyone was spread out with no boundries, mostly they "stumbled" upon each other rarely, it only killed one person one time, but we gave our players two lives to make it more fair. But Creepers, Endermen and other mobs had claimed the amount of kills.
It's Minecraft + Hunger Games + Survival in Boundries. It's like "Secret Society" I guess.
The last surviving person would be the "Ender" or the winner, who would receive not only a chest-full of 64 Set Diamonds, but bragging rights and more.
That project will get farther in depth as time continues.

Anyway, lets see what we have left.
Oh yeah, just for the fun of it, back in the day when only me, Capt and Cheeseheadfoamy were the only residents of our server, we had created a super, super awesome Wipeout Course. Now i'm not saying I'm doing a reality "MineOut" Project type thing, but it's an interesting idea.
Just to put on the board.
Final stuff...

inDev R.S.A H3 Testing Activation:
So last week, Darwin12 created a shirt about the "indev" of R.S.A H3, saying you had to pay to get general "testing" access, which would be spent toward R.S.A ads, paying the developers, and more motivation to the community of R.S.A in terms of a new home.
Well that testing shirt is being activated soon, Dar-Games hasn't confirmed it will be when they begin the 1.3 update for inDev, or after it, but they say...
"We will begin the inDev shirt and continue it till 2.3 inDev, which in our case is 1.3 Alpha."

So does this mean 10 updates are valid for the shirt; will it go active when 1.3 begins it's updates?
We'll have to see in the future.
Dar-Games also confirmed that...
"Darwin12 is the base developer of 1.3 inDev, because most of the "interface" work needs to be refreshed and updated to fit the new abilities given in LUA and such... starting with a new introGUI, a functionality of "seasons"/conditional GUI, including what season, what month, all valid and good stuff, if there are meteor showers, etc... probably will nail the 1.3 interface for GUI "quests" at R.S.A H3 as well."

So it sounds like 1.3 is going to be a GUI update with all that stuff, and a quest update? Hm, interesting... I posted something like that I'll have to write part two for...
so yeah.

Day 8: "Hunger Games"

Hunger Games...
You've probably read the novel.
You probably liked it.
You may have seen the movie.
Well, still having been reading Book 1, I decided to go see the movie with my friend.
When I walked in I expected one type of a movie.
But when I walked out, I had experienced a much more immersible world.
The Soundtrack: Amazing.
The Screenplay: Flat_out_BRILLIANT.
The Plot: As good as the Books.
I've come to love music lately, as a result of making it myself.
Screenplay is always fun to write.
Plots are fun to create.
So much fun.

This Weekly Catchup will probably not be a very interesting Weekly Catchup.. it will be more special than interesting. I'll be talking strictly about my new "movie theories" about audience immersion and how the movie looks and what technically puts it all together.
I have a project in school due on Wednesday though so I have to catchup with that.

Day 5: Server Stuff

Sorry. I've skipped some days, missed some opportunities to post that I know I had.
As of Day 5, we've almost reached the end of Week 1.
This week, me and my friend have been working on some "server stuff".
You all know about DarCity.
Well yeah, the personal server at least.
Starting in April, a 25 slot server will open to the public for all Darwin12 Fans to visit.
We've got a LOT of building and stuff to do before the launch.
We're due for release on April 20th so that all people can access it.
Timelapses leading up to the event will be posted most likely.
Other than that, I now have Google Chrome, and i'm insanely happy.
I've decided also that my Twitter will be a "personal" type twitter, not like a business type. But yeah, my Google+ also has all kinds of updates so i'm looking forward to it.
More details for the server as it comes.
It will be a white-list server unfortunately at this point but we may change that.
More snapshots will release as time passes.

Beginning "The Log"...

So i'm beginning my first "daily log" as it is, about the "Red Carpet" prep for "Trapped in the Darkness" my new project at Darwin12Videos.
Starting tomorrow, I will begin posting (almost daily) to the countdown of the tentative release of "Trapped in the Darkness" which will be Late April - Early May of 2012.
For now, we're "making" and "crafting" the Minecraft and ROBLOX version of the Red Carpet, so that both worlds can see the awesome red carpet. I'm also getting into Indie Game Development... so maybe you'll hear from me based on Indie Game development soon.

Very little development has gone in at this point as a result of working on other projects with it.
But 1.3 is an interface/GUI update. Most of the update will be by me, Darwin12.
Not a snapshot yet.

R.S.A H3 1.2 Is Released!
New ChangeLog included:

The Weekly Catchup: Week 2

Hello.
Welcome to "The Weekly Catchup: Week 2"
It was a bit weird, not on Monday. But on Wedensday again!
Yay.
Anyway- to get to it, this one was also written in some time between my arrival at the airport and getting on my flight. So i'm to believe it will post this on time.
Lets get to the updates.

R.S.A H2: 1.2 Update Details:
Early Details have been released for R.S.A H2: 1.2 (it's R.S.A H3 on total release)!
The 1.2 PreRelease 1 would be the first update we'd talk of.
R.S.A H2 (v3) -(TESTING)-
In the new 1.2 PreRelease, a new big building has been added by 1wardude. Right now, only the dev team knows what it's for.
Set aside the big building, in Prerelease 1, you can spot a hole in the grass next to a small building across the street from the big building. That is where a new "High Rank" spawn building will be added in PreRelease 2 which is due out for release on March 23rd.
Moar update coming soon.
Just kidding, it'll be out March 25th hopefully.
Next week we're releasing a test feature which includes falling rocks... guess what that is though. lol.

inDev Pass Pre-Order:
The inDev Pass to the -(Testing)- Version of R.S.A H2 (v3) has been created. Limited time it is for 7 ROBUX or 75 TIX on Pre-Order till April 1st.

New "My Super Secret Video" video:
My Super Secret Video comes out at a super-secret time on a super secret date...
lol.
It features random drawings, and a preview of "The Space Cruiser".
I guess i'll have to tell you about "The Space Cruiser" next week.

"My Super Secret Video" #1 (coming soon)

Sorry- i'm kinda sleepy as I make this post and i've been tweeting. Still working on my twitter sidebars and stuff like that.
But besides that- I promised a post regarding my new "Video Project(s)"
It's called "My Super Secret Video".
I don't know if it will become a series, but I may very well make it one.
It is completed, and will be posted on THURSDAY of next week.
The video will be featuring a few super awesome featured things...
One of them (exclusive to this blog- you know first) is a sneak preview of the first minute of The First part of "The Space Cruiser" which is NOW due out MAY 9th, 2012.
You may have also noticed i've made a label for "HeroBrine" which is another project that will be releasing later this year as well.
Back to "The Space Cruiser", anyway- I said the release is MAY 9TH, 2012. But I cannot assure that, as we have blown by 4 tentative releases because of long-term-editing (hopefully it comes out good) and all that stuff.
Best of all- in "The Weekly Catchup: Week 2" you will hear details about 4 new film projects now being announced, R.S.A H3: 1.2 Prerelease 1, inDev Testing in R.S.A H3, and more. Expect Weekly Catchup #2 out on Monday- i'm already writing it.
Still on vacation guys! Like I said- keep in with my social feed on Google+ and twitter like I posted yesterday.
I'm adding some code to the posts (defaultly) so that is posts the links to my social feeds at Google+ and at Twitter.
Also: People are rumoring i'm working on my OWN social network.
Is it true?
Yes.
I am working on "DarNet" which is short for DarNetwork. There will be potential details coming soon- it may be a blog, it however may not.
I intend for it to be a GoogleSite so that it is more "spread out" and has no capacities.
Weekly Catchup #2 will also feature a spot on the development of the site up till now- as it still has to be updated for "Darwin12 Co." Instead of just DarGames.
So that's about it.

Social Feed: BETA Testing

So on my new "totally-full-of-feeds" website and still in work website (hopefully won't be very much longer till i'm done working on it)... you have probably seen that I have added a new "social feed" area at the bottom.
However- I can't get my "Google+ Feed" to work except on the sidebar, nor at this time my twitter one is working.
So- i'm posting all my SOCIAL activities here again... (updated Social Markup :D)

The Weekly Catchup: Week 1

lol. Hi everyone- and welcome to the new (as I  promised some time ago) "Weekly Catchup". With all kinds of exciting news.

Kind of like a snapshot I guess. That would be interesting to begin doing.
Anyway, this is The first week i've decided to sit down and type The Weekly Catchup- unusually, it's on a Tuesday. The weekly catchup will usually be posted around Friday to Monday.
To just get into it- lets just start.

R.S.A H3 1.1 inDev Release:
Finally- it's only been like TWO months since 0.5...
Yet still not in beta.
Regarding that- i've put a picture below to show you the new 1.1 from above (excluding the industrial area).

Currently- the place is at about 5.9k visits- making it really popular and approaching 6k quite quick.
So all that makes it so much fun for me!
R.S.A. H2 (v3) -(INDEV 1.1)-Lots of stuff like that too. The of course-
to be updated. In addition to the
log. I'll be working on a new "introGUI"
so that's it for the 1.1 release for
R.S.A H3 InDev.







R.S.A H3 1.2 Update Already Being Worked On :D
That was really quick.
Our developers Darwin12, Jacobthescientist and 1wardude are still working hard to make sure that the HQ recieves lots of attention as a project but mostly as a home for R.S.A Members.
The 1.2 Update will bring badges into the game again- we remember it...
The "You met Darwin12" badge will return to the game...
Along with 2 new badges for Jacobthescientist and 1wardude (the developers).
So that's exciting also.

Two New Film Projects:
Darwin12Videos news finally.
I'm rearranging the website so that we show all the founders of the company and the "credible" workers that make the Darwin12 Co. run.
That includes all current 16 BoDs of R.S.A, the three main developers of R.S.A H3, and the Darwin12Videos workers (+8 workers)
The TOTAL occupations will be added including their username and "bio" I guess.
But I'll just go through the list of workers for Darwin12Videos just to put it there.

So after rambling off topic. I should just tell you in one sentence (although it will take more than one) that i'm working on two new projects. One is LA (Live Action) and one is ROBLOX. Although the LiveAction WILL possibly include ROBLOX.

The next video release will most likely be April 1st. I'm heading to 1k total views and i'm getting there- it just needs to move FASTER... lol.

R.S.A H3: 1.1 inDev Released!

Since it's clearly my job to inform you of lots of stuff- including the highly epic powered R.S.A H3 (or as it is currently named: "R.S.A H2 (v3)".

But if you haven't seen the 1.1 update- I'll just copy and paste it in here.

1.1 (inDev) Update:
  • New Rank "Developers" for game devs and a spawn point for it.
  • Museum Update
  • New "Helper" updates.
  • +2 Roadways Added
  • Added Industrial Area!
  • GUI Main-Display (intro_gui)Script Problem Fixed
  • "Update GUI" (in left upper hand corner) changed to 1.1 0_0 (lol)
That's about it for the 1.1 inDev update.
The 1.0 update released last week- however I hadn't supplied a change log for it on a blog post. But it is on the log.
